A reseller's price list sets SOLIDWORKS by region, not by conversion

The picture

OhMyCAD, a reseller describing itself as an authorized Dassault Systèmes partner, published dated regional price tables for SOLIDWORKS Design on 17 August 2026: a United States list, a United Kingdom list, and a Canada list. The US table sets SOLIDWORKS Design Standard at $2,820 a year, Professional at $3,456, and Premium at $4,716. The UK table sets the same three editions at £2,544, £3,156 and £3,876 a year excluding VAT. The Canada table sets them at C$3,792, C$4,668 and C$6,360. The UK page states directly that the Standard edition's eurozone price is €3,480 a year, above the US figure at prevailing exchange rates.

What the documents show

These figures come from a reseller's own published tables, not from Dassault Systèmes directly, and should be described that way even though the reseller states the numbers originate from Dassault's regional lists. The US page states plainly that its figures "are not converted from euro prices," meaning each region's list is set on its own terms rather than derived by exchange-rate arithmetic from a single global figure. That is confirmed by the numbers themselves: converting the US Standard price at typical dollar-euro rates does not land near €3,480, and converting the UK price to dollars does not land near the US figure either. Three independently priced regions, published together by one reseller on one date, is itself the primary finding.

What it is allowed to decide

A price list decides a procurement question, not a technical or creative one, so no decision class or authority attaches to SOLIDWORKS itself from this source. What the list does support is a narrower Provenance-adjacent finding about the price data: it is traceable to a named, dated reseller page, not to an unattributed aggregator, which makes the figures checkable against the same page later. It does not establish Auditability of the prices as Dassault's own record, since only Dassault's direct price list, not a reseller's republication of it, would hold that authority.

The disclosure label

A budget figure drawn from this list, dated 16 September 2026, should disclose: sourced from an authorized reseller's price table published 17 August 2026, not from Dassault Systèmes directly; regional figures are independently set, not currency-converted; UK figures exclude VAT. A procurement lead assembling a multi-region software budget would be the plausible party asserting that disclosure.

• Has this reseller's figure been checked against Dassault's own regional price page before it enters a budget?
• Does a quoted UK or Canadian figure already include VAT or sales tax, or does it need adding?
• Would combining seats across regions save money, or does each region's independent pricing rule that out?

A reseller's dated, regional price table is a legitimate record of what a named seller charged on a named date - useful precisely because it is specific, and limited precisely because it is one seller's republication rather than the vendor's own list.
